For more than 30 years, RDN has been the leader in housing market research and requirements analysis for the United States military. Our expertise covers all facets of data collection, analysis, and quality control. Our approach adheres to three principles: outstanding customer service, accurate and forward-thinking solutions, and continuous improvement based on stakeholder feedback.
RDN has projected housing needs for the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Air Force, for hundreds of installations in the United States and overseas, including the United Kingdom, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Greece, Romania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Djibouti, Japan, Guam, Singapore, and the Republic of Korea. Our approach combines insights from local housing professionals with rich geospatial and economic datasets in a dynamic structural model of housing supply and demand.
RDN is also the prime contractor for the Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) program, a US military entitlement granted to approximately one million service members based on the cost of adequate rental housing near their duty station. Each year, we train and collaborate with Military Housing Offices around the country to track local rents, utility costs, and other information in approximately 300 housing markets. The US Department of Defense uses these data as the basis for setting the annual BAH rates.
